Scott Giles
Vice Chair, Outreach, Co-Founder
Scott Giles always thought he was open-minded, accepting of others, and inclusive. Then his daughter was born with Down Syndrome, and she taught him what it really means. In the first moments of her life, Scott learned what it means to be truly open, accepting, and welcoming.
Friday Night Out was born from that transformation. Each of us longs to be seen for who we truly are. Each of us longs to belong. Friday Night Out is a place where people with special abilities can experience being seen and celebrated - where they can belong. Friday Night Out is a powerful experience that brings good into the world.
Scott has worked as a guitar teacher, restaurant server and manager, and youth minister. He currently serves as a special education paraprofessional. Scott is passionate about live music and is currently a member of four different musical groups.
