A working art and sewing instructor, fabric designer in the quilt industry, and creator of an entirely handmade wardrobe, Melissa Collins lives and breathes creativity in everything she does. She believes deeply that the world needs more art and that every single person has creativity inside them waiting to come out. 

That belief found a perfect home in Friday Night Out. Melissa understands what it means to be seen, celebrated, and given the chance to create. Melissa brings both her heart and her gifts to this community in the most hands-on way possible. Each Monday evening, Melissa leads Friday Night Out's online art class, opening up a space where participants explore their creativity, try something new, and discover their capabilities.

Melissa is married to Louis, enjoys time in the hammock with her dog Shiloh, and welcomes students into her studio to learn creative skills. Her Etsy shop, ArtistMMC, is a small window into a life fully devoted to making beautiful things.
