What to Expect

What can you expect when joining us for our monthly
in-person event?

We love to gather in person and have fun with a theme every month. Our participants are adults (high-school aged and older) and volunteers help make the time fun and safe.

When you join us at our California or Tennessee events, you can expect the following.

  1. You’ll start with the check-in process. The first time you attend, we’ll ask you to provide important information about you. While a chaperone may not need to stay, we ask that they be available if needed.

  2. We ask for a $10 donation to cover the cost of renting the facility, food, and any supplies purchased for a fun time.

  3. We like to eat together, and it’s usually pizza, salad, soda, and water. But sometimes, we get a special meal that goes with the theme. If you have dietary needs or allergies, please email us and let us know.

  4. Dancing, a special program, games, or an activity is how we spend much of our time together. Sometimes there’s prizes! We have a quiet room for those that want a quieter time with friends. Some of our participants bring ear plugs or headphones.

  5. Before you know it, it’s time to go! We ask all participants be picked up on a timely basis.



Safety and Supervision

Friday Night Out is all about building relationships and enjoying a Friday night out with friends. We expect all participants have self regulation skills to keep themselves safe, manage their own personal needs, and be respectful of everyone and their belongings. Participants must stay at the event until their arranged transportation has arrived. If the participant requires direct supervision, they must be accompanied by a chaperone. Friday Night Out cannot provide one-on-one or customized supervision. Thank you for your support in creating a successful time for all.

Every month we have a theme and you can wear a related costume or outfit. Or you can wear a Friday Night Out shirt. You can order one here. Or, you can wear the outfit you like best.
